Cell and gene therapy tools
Integrating novel technologies in products for the cell and gene therapy market.
We accelerate the development and commercialisation of cutting-edge technology for systems and consumables tailored to the needs of therapy companies. We empower developers of cell and gene therapy solutions who seek to enhance industry operations, improve product quality, or scale manufacturing. With long-standing expertise in implementing novel technologies in product development and navigating the regulatory landscape, we provide the essential support needed to ensure a smooth path to market.
Accelerated development of cell and gene therapy solutions
The cell and gene therapy (CGT) market is rapidly growing and evolving, with the number of trials, modalities, and manufacturing processes consistently on the rise. As trends shift quickly, often driven by recent approvals, companies developing products for this market must be ready to adapt.
Creating solutions for the needs of CGT developers, including cell isolation, cell expansion systems, and genetic modification, poses significant challenges. As a product development company, you may identify valuable unmet needs, but tight timelines and the complexity of development can often exceed internal capability to execute.
When looking for an external partner for product development and design, it's essential to ensure they understand GMP-compliant equipment design and have proven success in creating systems suitable for highly regulated environments.
At TTP, we partner with companies that are pushing the boundaries of process automation to enable the progress of advanced therapies. Our team is uniquely positioned to address challenges at the intersection of biological systems and mechanical automation, where the combined expertise of biologists, chemists, physicists, and engineers is essential.
When you partner with us, we integrate into your product development process, bringing our deep understanding of manufacturing methods, customer expectations and regulatory requirements. Our proactive and flexible approach ensures your team can move forward confidently while we adapt to your evolving commercial objectives.

Non-contact cell counting enables in-line, real-time monitoring of manufacturing processes
Cell counting is performed at numerous points during cell therapy manufacturing, and is normally performed on stand-alone devices requiring several manual preparation steps. Hence non-contact cell counting methods that can be implemented in-line are a key innovation to free up operator time and reduce measurement variability.
We spoke to TTP Project Leader, James Stein, on work he’s been doing to implement imaging as an in-line cell counting method. Read the interview here.
