Sustainability at TTP

We’re working toward a more sustainable world.

We take responsibility for our impact on the environment and continually look for more sustainable ways of conducting our business activities. But our greatest opportunity to contribute to global environmental goals is by developing more sustainable technology and products for our clients.

What we are doing

As part of our Sustainability Policy, we have adopted the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) for setting targets and disclosing progress against them.

Our near-term science-based target is to reduce our 2022 baseline Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions by 42% by 2030. This target was approved by SBTi in 2023.

Going further than the SBTi framework, we also offset emissions from flights through Tradewater and support our employees in reducing emissions due to commuting

We publish our Greenhouse Gas Emissions Inventory Reports through the Carbon Disclosure Project, and our report for the year ending 31st March 2023 has been certified by BSI.

While we try to do our bit, our greatest opportunity to contribute to global environmental goals is by delivering for our clients. We take this responsibility extremely seriously and are proud of the following case studies.

Scaling up green ammonia production with Nium
TTP became an extension of the team and very quickly understood what we were trying to do, by asking us the right questions they helped us to get to the right outcome quickly. The research was detailed and added value beyond the knowledge we held in the team. They enabled us to move from lab scale to a scale that demonstrated the ammonia production using full process kinetics, all within a tight timescale.

The need for more transparency in carbon accounting

Pressure on businesses to publish carbon emission numbers is growing, but many companies find it challenging to estimate those associated with the goods and services they buy – often a large part of their emissions.

We’ve compared some of the methods for estimating Scope 3 emissions due to purchased goods and services. Our conclusion is that carbon accounting would be easier for everyone, and more accurate, with greater transparency.

We want to lead by example and are sharing our experience.
