RF engineering is a key skill in the design of communications systems, especially satellite communications.  We have extensive communications development labs, tools and resources for communications systems development up to and including Ka band, as well as the ability to develop low frequency communications systems operating at a few Hz for down hole drilling applications.

Software and digital signal processing

Our core software capability includes the skills required for the development of communication systems at the deepest level, from the low-level waveform generation with error correction coding and spreading, driving the physical radio layer, to the higher layers of the network stack handling the payload data and networking control aspects.

Satellite payload

We have gained experience in the development of satellite payload, and the requirements of the payload to be able to withstand the orbital environment.  This includes a communications module developed for SSTL and built into the Tyche satellite included RF intersatellite links between LEO and GEO.
