Early careers

Graduate and PhD Roles
From day one, you’ll step into a permanent role—nota fixed-term scheme—working on real, impactful projects in multidisciplinary teams. You will apply what you’ve learned from your degree every day to tackle complex challenges and develop pioneering solutions, all while gaining hands-on experience alongside seasoned experts.
You will partner with our ambitious clients, from start-ups to multinationals, all of whom are seeking to build a better future through technology. The variety of projects you can work on will allow you to be constantly learning and building new skills.

Internships and Placements
Put your knowledge to the test and discover how far it can take you. As an intern, you’ll get hands-on experience working alongside experts from diverse disciplines, applying your insights to real-world challenges on projects that push technological boundaries.
We offer a range of paid internships, from 8 weeks in the summer to longer placements. All our roles launch in September annually and are filled on a rolling basis. We suggest applying early to get the best chance of success.
All our interns are considered for permanent roles during their internship, so it’s experience that can lead to a fulfilling career.

Pre-University Scholarship Programme
Our Future Scholarship is designed to create opportunities in STEM for bright, passionate students from under represented backgrounds. Open to A-level students planning to study a STEM subject at university, it includes a week of work experience and a financial scholarship for those selected.
During the work experience, you’ll shadow consultants, dive into day-to-day activities, and gain insights into a career in science and engineering. If you are selected for the scholarship, you’ll receive financial support towards maintenance for each year of your degree (up to 4 years).
Applications open in February every year, with work experience during Easter half term. If you would like to apply, please email scholarship@ttp.com to get an application form.

From intern to consultant: Elisa's journey
“From a young age, I wanted to be an inventor because I loved taking things apart to see how they worked. So, when I was looking for internships, TTP’s emphasis on innovation and the breadth of projects I could learn about and work on stood out to me."
During my internship, I found myself contributing to client facing projects really quickly and taking on greater ownership and responsibility in projects than I thought possible on a summer internship.
I worked within the surgical tools and devices team, adding capabilities to devices and developing equipment for surgeons that could be safer and more accessible. I really enjoyed being able to walk through labs, seeing some of the vast number of projects running at the time, and asking colleagues what they were working on and how things worked.
What stood out to me during the internship was how everyone was so passionate and willing to share their knowledge about each project, and the freedom I was given to work on any project, in any area, across the whole company.
Today I feel lucky to say that I do one of my main hobbies as my job; my every day involves designing electronics, prototyping interesting electromechanical systems and inventing new technologies that help people.

Application process
The test
This will be based on the role discipline and will be similar to an exam question. For certain roles, we will use video interviews instead of a test.
The sceening call
We will talk through your interest in the opportunity and include some technical questions, so we can get to know you better. There will also be the chance to ask questions of your own.
The assessment day
This will involve two technical interviews and one group exercise. There will be a tour of our campus and labs and the chance to meet a current intern or grad. This is the final stage for internship candidates.
The final interview
If applying for a Graduate role, there will be an interview with the leaders of whichever team you are going to join to talk about your motivations and personal fit with the team.
Our vacancies
Apply your skills to solve real business needs. Work at the intersection of science, engineering and business. Invent. Create. Make an impact.
