Project Leader – Neurotech

Description

Neurotechnology already offers fresh hope to people living with conditions such as epilepsy, chronic back pain and Parkinson’s disease. Fuelled by major investment from global tech giants and a thriving startup scene, and with the potential to transform the way we treat a huge range of conditions, this sector has a bright future. Now is the ideal time to catch this wave of innovation – and this project leadership role could give you the intellectual stimulation and strategic career growth you’ve been craving.

From the get-go, you’ll get ownership of large-scale medical device development projects. At TTP, project leaders combine technical leadership with traditional project management responsibilities, and are accountable to our clients for delivering what they need. This means taking overall control of product design architecture, crafting and selling development plans, maintaining close working relationships with clients, building and motivating your project team and taking full responsibility for delivering novel technology-driven products on time and within budget – all within the appropriate regulatory framework.

The Neurotech team focuses on IPG (implantable pulse generation) systems, intra-operative tools and non-invasive therapies for new indications as well as established applications such as epilepsy, pain relief and Parkinson’s. Closed loop systems are a particular area of expertise, leading to heightened demand for our consultancy services. You’ll get to lead a range of product developments from early-stage novel technology exploration through clinical trials to commercial launch.

You’ll also get the trust and freedom your track record deserves. You’ll influence and directly impact TTP’s product delivery processes whilst further developing your commercial, managerial, and technical skills.

At TTP, you’ll be surrounded by a supportive team of world-class engineers, scientists, and designers at our award-winning campus. Together, we’ll explore new technological frontiers, all within a culture that values freedom and minimal bureaucracy.

Requirements

We don’t focus on job titles at TTP, and we’re inviting applications from a range of engineering or scientific backgrounds. We’re more interested in your medical device development and team management experience and the mindset you would bring to the role than your current job title.

To be shortlisted for an interview, your CV will need to include evidence of:

  • A background in any engineering or scientific discipline, with an ability to frame and solve complex problems, working from concept generation through to detail design.
  • Project and/or team leadership experience in neurotechnology, implantable devices, or an adjacent regulated medical device field. Ideally, you’ve taken a product to market, from early stage to product launch.
  • An understanding of complex multi-disciplinary system design; the ability to make system level decisions as well as getting into the detail in your own technical discipline.
  • A working knowledge of the quality systems and regulatory processes for product development and manufacturing in a regulated environment (preferably medical and ISO13485).

Benefits

  • Annual profit-related bonus
  • Employer pension contribution of 12% of pensionable pay
  • Private medical insurance for employees and dependants
  • Free lunch and all-day refreshments
  • Life insurance worth 6x salary
  • 25 days holiday
  • Enhanced maternity and paternity leave, with the option to return part-time for a year
  • Electric car leasing scheme
  • Cycle to work scheme
  • Season ticket loan
  • A wide range of activities, including running, board games, programming, squash, arts and crafts, and TTP’s own rock band
  • Local sports facilities and theatre discounts and memberships
