Project Leader – Health Tech

Description

Are you ready to lead the next big breakthrough in health tech? Are you ready to work with some of the brightest minds in technology to push the boundaries of what’s possible? Could you keep your clients engaged and keen to work with you time and again?

As a project leader with experience in a technical consultancy environment, you’ll be a strategically important addition to the team. You’ll be entrusted to drive the development of ground breaking healthcare products—projects where the stakes are high, and the impact is far-reaching. You’ll navigate the complexities of highly regulated environments, where collaboration, curiosity, out-of-the-box thinking, rigorous testing, and relentless learning are key. And you’ll bring the tact and expertise needed to keep everything on track.

You’ll partner with the world’s most ambitious companies to solve technical challenges that few others can. Leading projects at TTP is a truly rewarding experience; it’s your project – and you’re empowered to deliver. You’ll drive technical collaboration, project team engagement, and client relationships.

Your product development journeys begin by working closely with clients to define project programmes, ensuring all stakeholders are aligned and brought in. You’ll quickly become an essential part of our Eyecare Team—where recent projects have included developing laser instruments to save sight and the next generation of contact lenses.

The Eyecare team will be your home, but you’ll have the opportunity to apply your expertise across a variety of product development programmes, from Deep Tech to Life Sciences. So, by joining this team, you’ll get to interact across the whole consultancy business.

At TTP, you’ll be surrounded by a supportive team of world-class engineers, scientists, and designers at our award-winning campus. Together, we’ll explore new technological frontiers, all within a culture that values freedom and minimal bureaucracy.

If you’re a self-starter who thrives on the freedom to produce your best work, you’ll fit right in here. Join us at TTP, and we’ll discover solutions to some of the most complex technological challenges of our times.

Responsibilities:

You’ll get to work with global healthcare leaders and the most exciting start-up’s,  developing solutions in ophthalmic devices, optometry, surgical systems, telehealth, and more. What you’re working on will vary depending on the client’s requirements, but it will typically include:

  • Working on projects as an interdisciplinary Project Leader for the Eyecare Team. There will also be opportunities to apply your broader engineering skills to other projects across TTP.
  • Programme management.
  • Regular interactions with clients to develop fruitful project partnerships.
  • Developing working relationships with potential clients by helping them plan new projects.
  • Occasional travel to attend international events and client meetings

Requirements

We don’t focus on job titles at TTP, and we don’t expect you to have a background in ophthalmology, so we’re inviting applications from a range of backgrounds for this role – you might currently call yourself an Engineer or a Project Leader. We’re more interested in the experience and mindset you would bring to the role than the job titles you’ve held. We also welcome applications from STEM returners – so if you’ve had a career break, please consider applying.

Consultancy work at TTP involves more than technical research and development. You’ll lean into your ability to communicate technical information clearly and effectively to colleagues and clients from diverse fields of expertise. You are naturally curious and have a growth mindset, which will help you tackle complex challenges at the leading edge of innovation.

To be shortlisted for an interview, your CV will need to include evidence of:

  • A credible employment history with ideally ten years+ of Project Leadership within a regulated environment.
  • Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary projects and particularly comfortable leading mechanically focussed projects. (We welcome applications from a range of technical/engineering backgrounds).
  • The ability to plan and pivot to adapt to the client’s needs
  • Academic excellence. A 1st or upper 2nd class degree or equivalent in a physical science or engineering.

Benefits

  • Annual profit-related bonus
  • Employer pension contribution of 12% of pensionable pay
  • Private medical insurance for employees and dependants
  • Free lunch and all-day refreshments
