Human Factors and Usability Lead 

This is a unique opportunity to own the user journey of Constellation system, shaping the physical and digital interfaces of our revolutionary cell therapy platform.  

In this role, you’ll coordinate third-party usability studies, ensuring that both digital UI and hardware designs are not only innovative but also safe and user-friendly. Your exceptional team-working and communication skills will be essential as you integrate user considerations into design trade-offs. 

You’ll define and steer our usability engineering process, create user interface evaluation plans, and prepare comprehensive user interface specifications and reports for submission. 

Lastly, you’ll delve into diverse research and analytical techniques to understand various stakeholders and environments, mapping out user stories and driving improvements in usability and safety. 

Requirements

  • A 1st or Upper 2nd class first degree or higher from a leading university in Human Factors, Ergonomics, Psychology, Product Design, UX or a related discipline.  
  • Empathy and a passion for involving the User in the product development process.
  • A track record of deploying various research methods with clients, users, and stakeholders to deliver insights into research, technology or advanced product development projects, including formative and summative studies).  
  • A strong ability to communicate the value of your work confidently with people at all levels, to explain complex concepts in a simple way.
  • Understanding of HF regulatory requirements and a structured approach to taking usability evaluation through to technical file submission.
  • Experience of defining and aligning usability engineering activities with product development activities, including risk management.
  • Versed in the following standards and guidance: 13485, 62366, HE75 
  • Life science and Healthcare experience is preferred.
  • Preferably experience with both physical products as well as digital interfaces.

There’ll be a couple of stages to your interview

There are two stages to our interview process for graduates, and one stage for interns. For both of those roles, there are usually a number of one-to-one interviews with our consultants. We focus on your technical abilities and consumer awareness and use our interviews to see how you’d fit into TTP.

We hold our interviews at TTP Campus in Melbourn

On the outskirts of Cambridge. The interview process is usually around a couple of hours and it’ll include technical problem-solving style questions.

We’ll cover expenses for your interview

Which includes cost of your return travel to the interview. If you need to stay overnight in Melbourn, let us know in advance and we can organise something.

After the interviews, you’ll hear back from us in a few days

It’ll normally take a few weeks to finish the interviews, but this can sometimes take a little longer depending on how busy we are.

Relocation support

Available for new employees moving house as a result of their employment at TTP, subject to certain criteria. E.g. your previous home is in excess of a 40-mile radius of TTP offices and your new home is considerably closer.
